PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a collection method of a rare earth magnet for collecting rare earth alloy powder by performing demagnetization treatment and crashing treatment at the same time without disassembling apparatuses assembled with rare earth magnets in advance and without taking out the magnets. SOLUTION : In the collection method of the rare earth alloy powder which collets the rare earth alloy powder 4 from the apparatuses 1 assembled with the rare earth magnets 3, the apparatuses 1 assembled with the rare earth materials 3 are put into an oxygen atmosphere furnace 2 all together, a temperature in the oxygen atmosphere furnace 2 is raised to a temperature at which a hydrogen absorption phenomenon occurs, and held for a certain period of time, thus, a large number of cracks are generated at a rare earth alloy, and the rare earth alloy is demagnetized and collected by utilizing a power generation reaction at the generation of the cracks of the rare earth alloy.
