[Problem] To provide a method for manufacturing R-Fe-B rare earth sintered magnets whereby coercivity (HCJ) can be improved, and reductions in the maximum of the residual magnetic flux density (Br) and the maximum energy product (BH) can be prevented by dispersing a heavy rare earth element (RH) in the grain boundary of a magnetic body. Also, to provide R-Fe-B rare earth sintered magnets manufactured by said production method, a manufacturing device, and a motor or generator provided with said R-Fe-B sintered magnets. [Solution] An R-Fe-B rare earth sintered magnetic body, which has, as the main phase, R2Fe14 crystal grains containing a light rare earth element (RL) (at least one element selected from Nd and Pr) as the main rare earth element (R), is prepared; pulverized product, which contains at least a heavy rare earth element (RH) (at least one element selected from Dy and Tb), and which is pulverized by means of hydrogen absorption and then dehydrogenated, is heated with the R-Fe-B rare earth sintered magnetic body; and the heavy rare earth element (RH) from the pulverized product is supplied to the surface of the R-Fe-B rare earth sintered magnetic body while dispersing the heavy rare earth element (RH) inside the R-Fe-B rare earth sintered magnetic body.
