The conduit has a covering device comprising attachments to maintain a strip (2) i.e. thermally insulating strip, in wrapping position. The strip has two series (7, 8) of anchoring or hooking points (9) adjoining visible and masked longitudinal edges (4, 5) of the strip. The series of the anchoring or hooking points are arranged to extend on both sides of the visible longitudinal edge at rolled state of the strip in the position around a tubular body (1). Each attachment connects the anchoring or hooking points of the series in the position by spanning the visible longitudinal edge. The thermally insulating strip is in the form of two layers of glass fabrics and sheets based on alkaline earth silicate fibers that are interposed between the layers.
