PURPOSE : An oxynitride phosphor is provided to ensure high luminous efficiency such as luminescent brightness, to enable synthesis or sintering at a low temperature and a normal pressure. CONSTITUTION : An oxynitride phosphor includes crystals represented by chemical formula : (A_(1-p-q)B_pC_q)_aD_bSi_cO_dN_e : xEu^2+, yRe^3+, zQ. In chemical formula, A, B and C are different metal and represent +2 valent metal; D is Group III element; Re +3 valent metal; Q is flux; p and q are 0 < p < 1.0 and 0 <= q < 1.0; a, b, c, d and e are 1.0 <= a <= 2.0, 0 <= b <= 4.0, 0 < c <= 1.0, 0 < d <= 1.0, and 0 < e <= 2.0; and x, y and z are 0 < x <= 0.25, 0 <= y <= 0.25 and 0 <= z <= 0.25.
