Endoprosthesis (A) includes a load-bearing structure that consists, entirely or in part, of a magnesium alloy (I) of composition (by weight) 2-5% rare earth metals (REM) (including 1.5-3% neodymium); 3.5-4.5% yttrium; 0.3-1.2% zirconium; 0-0.5% other materials and the remainder magnesium.
