PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide relatively inexpensive wear resistant cast iron reduced in a difference between wear resistant performance at a surface and that in a product and satisfying the performance comparable to the case that a large quantity of rare metals are used.SOLUTION : In the wear resistant cast iron, about 1% Ni, about 1% Cu, about 1.5% Mn, about 0.5% Mo or the like are contained while a chromium content is suppressed to about 2%. Thereby, high hardness is maintained and the graphitization of a structure is simultaneously achieved. In addition, graphite spheroidizing treatment using a commercial spheroidizing agent is performed to secure the toughness of a casting product.COPYRIGHT : (C)2012, JPO&INPIT
