PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fuel cell which maintains high ion conductivity and strength of a solid electrolyte and in which power generation performance is not deteriorated even if operated at low temperatures of 500°C-700°C. SOLUTION : An oxygen electrode layer is formed on one of the surface of a support substrate through a solid electrolyte layer consisting of a perovskite type compound oxide of a lanthanum gallate system, and a fuel electrode layer is formed on the other surface of the support substrate through a reduction prevention film consisting of ZrO2in which a rare earth element is solid solved, and the support substrate is formed of a complex oxide having a composition expressed by a formula : (CeO2)1-z(Ln1.5)z. In the formula, Ln is at least one kind of element selected from Sm, Ho, Gd, Y, Yb, and Dy, and z is a number to satisfy 0.1≤z≤0.3. COPYRIGHT : (C)2006, JPO&NCIPI
