PURPOSE : A phosphor thin film having wide emission wavelength for a white light emitting diode is provided to obtain a white light emitting diode having a high rendering property and light emitting efficiency. CONSTITUTION : A phosphor composition for a white light emitting diode is formed of rare earth materials or transition metal-added metal silicate. The rare earth materials are selected from Eu, Ce, Pr and Sm and the transition metal is Mn. The metal silicate comprises one or more selected from Ca, Mg, Sr and Ba. The phosphor composition emits green light and red light at the same time. A phosphor thin film is prepared from the phosphor composition. The phosphor thin film has the thickness of 100 ~ 2000nm.
