PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a lithium-manganese composite oxide particle composition which has a high energy density, has a high charge and discharge capacity, and is excellent in cycle characteristics when it is used as a positive electrode active material of a lithium-ion secondary battery, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION : The lithium-manganese composite oxide particle composition is a composite oxide represented by general formula (I) of LixMn1-a-bCraMbOy, wherein M denotes at least one element selected from the group consisting of B, Mg, Al, Si, Sc, Ti, V, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Sn, Sb, Hf, Ta, Pb and a rare earth element; x, y, a and b are the numbers which satisfy 0.8≤x≤1.2, 1.8≤y≤2.4, 0
