FIELD : technological processes.
SUBSTANCE : invention relates to processes for preparation of isoprene polymerization catalyst and can find application in the production of general-purpose rubbers in the synthetic rubber industry. Disclosed is a method of producing a catalyst for polymerisation of isoprene by reacting rare earth elements (REE) chlorides with monohydric alcohol and a solvent, followed by mixing with a conjugated diene and an organoaluminium compound, method consists in that monoatomic alcohol is 2-ethylhexyl alcohol in molar ratio of rare-earth elements : 2-ethylhexyl alcohol = 1 : 1.8–3.0.
EFFECT : disclosed method of synthesis enables to obtain a catalyst with high activity (polyisoprene yield of 90–96 %) while reducing synthesis time thereof and results in obtaining a polymer with an improved fatigue strength index during deformation of multiple stretching.
