PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth-transition metal-boron (RE-TM-B) powder having corrosion and oxidation resistance in being exposed to aggressive environments, and to provide a bonded magnet product including the same. SOLUTION : A neodymium-iron-boron type magnetic powder produced by a rapid solidification process is coated with a coating formulation. The coating formulation preferably contains an epoxy binder, a curing agent, an accelerating agent, and a lubricant. By incorporating a coupling agent and optionally, other specialty additives with the magnetic powder and the organic epoxy component, additional oxidation and corrosion prevention, enhanced adhesion and dispersion between the filler and matrix phases can be achieved. In addition, the combination of materials of the rare earth-transition metal-boron (RE-TM-B) powder produced by the rapid solidification process and an application process are also disclosed.
