PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for treating rare earth-containing mud, in which the rare earth-containing mud is treated so that the acidic mud, which is generated when rare earths are extracted from the rare earth-containing mud by using an acid, can be used in large quantities and in useful applications.SOLUTION : The method for treating rare earth-containing mud comprises : a step of treating the rare earth-containing mud with the acid to generate acidic residues; and a concrete structure construction step of constructing a concrete structure by using the generated acidic residue and/or a neutralizer thereof as a part of raw materials of concrete or mortar. Otherwise, the method for treating rare earth-containing mud comprises : the step of treating the rare earth-containing mud with the acid to generate acidic residues; a step of mixing the generated acidic residue with an alkaline solidifying material to obtain a solidified body; and a ground formation step of forming ground for constructing the concrete structure, by using the solidified body.
