PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide : a rare-earth sintered magnet excelling in corrosion resistance; a method of manufacturing the same; and a rotating machine. SOLUTION : The rare-earth sintered magnet includes a magnet element 20 containing an R-T-B-based alloy, and a coating layer 40 located on the magnet element. The coating layer 40 includes a first phase 42 and a second phase 44 dispersed in the first phase 42 in a filler-like form. The first phase 42 contains an R-based alloy. The second phase 44 contains an R-Cu-based alloy, and is higher in the content of Cu than the first phase 42. COPYRIGHT : (C)2012, JPO&INPIT
