PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a lightweight and high-reliability superconducting magnet for a magnetic-levitation railway vehicle. SOLUTION : A superconducting magnet for a magnetic-levitation railway vehicle is provided with superconducting coils 2 made of a rare-earth-element-based high-temperature superconductor.
