PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a structure of a permanent magnet synchronous machine wherein a high-speed operation range can be expanded without reducing a torque when a rare-earth magnet is used. SOLUTION : A permanent magnet synchronous motor includes a rotor 1 in which 2n poles ( n is a natural number) are arranged on the circumference and a stator 100 that is placed opposite to the stator with a gap in between and generates a rotating magnetic flux. In the rotor, field poles are formed by burying at least one or more permanent magnets 2 predominantly composed of rare earth in the core constituting each pole thereof.
