PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a measuring method and a device of a heavy metal ion capable of analyzing on the site a sample gathered on a region polluted by the heavy metal ion, and monitoring the heavy metal ion at a refuge incineration place or a disposal place. SOLUTION : A rare earth metal element ion is allowed to coexist with the heavy metal ion to be measured, and either or both of the fluorescence intensity and the fluorescence life of the rare earth metal element ion are measured.
