A La(Fe, Si)13-based multi-interstitial atom hydride magnetic refrigeration material with high temperature stability and large magnetic entropy change and preparation method thereof are provided. The method comprises introducing interstitial hydrogen atom into interstitial master alloy La1-aRaFe13-bSibXc with absorbing hydrogen process then preparing the compound having the chemical formula of La1-aRaFe13-bSibXcHd and a cubic NaZn13 structure, wherein R is one or more rare-earth elements and their combination, and X is one or more C, B and the like and their combination. The requisite hydrogen content can be obtained with once absorbing hydrogen process by means of adjusting the hydrogen pressure, temperature and time. The material has stability in the condition of room temperature to 350℃ and normal pressure, i.e. the hydrogen atom can stably exist in the interstice. Its Curie point can be adjusted continuously within the wide range of 180k-360k through composition changes. It has magnetic entropy change more than twice that of metal Gd near room temperature and has no magnetic hysteresis loss. The material is an ideal room-temperature magnetic refrigeration material.
