PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a simple and low-cost dehydrochlorination method of a chloroalkane in high conversion, high selectivity and high efficiency.
SOLUTION : The dehydrochlorination method of the chloroalkane includes bringing a compound represented by general formula : CiHjClk (wherein, i is an integer of 2-4; j and k are each independently an integer of from 1 to 2i+1, with the proviso that j+k is 2i+2) into contact with a crystalline phosphoric acid salt consisting essentially of crystalline aluminum phosphate, preferably the crystalline phosphoric acid salt having a composition represented by the formula : αAlPO4-(100-α)Ln(PO4)x (2) [wherein, Ln is a rare earth ion; and x is y/3 (y is the valence of the rare earth ion); and α is a number of 80-100] in a non-oxidative atmosphere.
