PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode for a cold cathode discharge tube excellent in spattering resistance and deep drawing performance, and capable of reducing the content of molybdenum as a rare metal. SOLUTION : This electrode for a cold cathode discharge tube is manufactured by using an alloy containing 3.0-7.0 mass% of molybdenum (Mo) and 12.0-18.0 mass% of iron (Fe), and nickel (Ni) and unavoidable impurity as a left.
