PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a thermoelectric element having a high thermoelectric power index which has not existed before. SOLUTION : The thermoelectric element is composed of a heavy rare-earth element polyboride crystal formed by removing zinc added during crystal production, by heating during reaction, and is composed by solid solution of nickel in a heavy rare-earth polyboride.
