PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide novel oxygen excess type metal oxide excellent in oxygen adsorption/desorption rate and oxygen maximum adsorption amount, and an oxygen adsorption/desorption device and an oxygen concentrator using the oxygen excess type metal oxide. SOLUTION : There is provided oxygen excess type metal oxide containing a crystal phase having stoichiometry represented by the following general formula (1), and having plane defect in the crystal phase. AjDkEmGnO7+δ (1), where A in one or more kind selected from a group consisting of trivalent rare earth elements and Ca, D is one or more kind selected from alkali earth metal elements, E and G are each independently one or more kind selected from oxygen tetra-coordination elements, and at least one kind is a transition metal element, j>0, k>0, each independently m≥0 and n≥0, j+k+m+n=6 and 0<δ≤1.5.
