PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an optical amplification device capable of amplifying wavelength division multiplexing optical signals in a collective manner. SOLUTION : The optical amplification device includes : an input unit (an input port 11) for input of a wavelength division multiplexing optical signal; a laser beam source (a laser diode 20) generating a multimode laser beam; a double clad type optical fiber (an amplifying optical fiber 12) added with a rare earth element in a core and amplifying the wavelength division multiplexing optical signal by induced emission based on the multimode laser beam generated from the laser beam source to output the amplified signal; and an output unit (an output port 23) for output of the wavelength division multiplexing optical signal having been amplified by the double clad type optical fiber.
