PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a small ring magnet having high characteristics and suitable as a magnet for the shutter of a camera, for example. SOLUTION : A resin coating is formed on the surface of a ring-like rare earth sintered magnet having a weight of 1 g or less. The resin coating is an epoxy resin coating, for example. The rare earth sintered magnet is a neodymium iron boron based magnet containing R (R is a concept of one or two or more rare earth elements containing Y), T (T is Fe or one or two or more transient metal elements where Fe and Co are essential), and B (boron).
