PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a cell for a fuel cell in which the generation of cracks at a fuel electrode and the separation of a solid electrolyte at simultaneous firing are effectively suppressed and the deterioration of ion conductivity due to element diffusion to a reaction prevention layer and the solid electrolyte is suppressed, and which can be manufactured at a low cost by a combined sintering method. SOLUTION : This cell for a fuel cell comprises : a support substrate 31 having fuel gas passages 31a formed inside; a fuel electrode layer 32 formed on the substrate 31; the reaction prevention layer 33 formed on the support substrate 31 so as to cover the fuel electrode layer 32 and containing CeO2prepared by dissolving a rare-earth element; a solid electrolyte layer 34 formed on the support substrate 31 so as to cover the reaction prevention layer 33 and formed of a perovskite type lanthanum gallate-based composite oxide; and an oxygen electrode layer 35 formed on the solid electrolyte layer 34. The support substrate 31 is formed of an iron group metal and/or an oxide of an iron group metal, and a rare-earth oxide containing at least one kind of an element selected from a group comprising Y, Lu, Yb, Tm, Er, Ho, Dy, Gd, Sm and Pr.
