PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for cleaning soil which perfectly removes contaminant from soil without necessitating the substitution of the soil, suppresses the occurrence of vibration, noise and exhaust to the minimum, requires no special treating equipment on the ground side and sharply enlarges the utilization of earth after the improvement. SOLUTION : This method for cleaning soil contains a process of perforating a boring 4 in the vicinity of the down side of contaminated region 3 in the soil and in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the contaminated region, a process of inserting a supply pipe 6 into the boring, a process of perforating a boring 5 in the vicinity of the upper side of the contaminated region 3 and in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the contaminated region, a process of inserting an absorbing pipe 7 which is filled with a contaminant cleaning material (c) therein into the boring, a process of pouring a contaminant removing fluid (a) toward the contaminated region 3 from the supply pipe 6 and a process of absorbing the fluid ascending from the contaminated region 3 into the absorbing pipe 7 and cleaning the same.
