PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a light emitting device which emits high-intensity light and can be driven at low voltage and to provide either the light emitting device or an electronic device with reduced power consumption.
SOLUTION : A light emitting element comprises n-tiered EL layers (where n is a natural number of 2 or higher) between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The light emitting element also has, in the order from a positive electrode side between a m-th EL layer (where m is a natural number satisfying 1≤m≤n-1) and (m+1)-th EL layer : a first layer which contains either alkali metal, alkali earth metal, rare-earth metal, alkali metal compound, alkali earth metal compound or rare-earth metal compound; a second layer which is brought into contact with the first layer and contains a substance with high electron transport property; and a region which is brought into contact with the second layer and contains the substance with high hole transport property and an acceptor substance. A light emitting device and an electronic device are provided with the light emitting elements.
