PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an exhaust gas cleaning device which can oxidize PM in an exhaust gas in an efficient manner with the combined use of a plasma and an oxidation catalyst and besides at a low cost. SOLUTION : This exhaust gas cleaning device 1 includes a gas flow path 10 through which an exhaust gas passes, dielectric plates 8 arranged opposite to each other, across the gas flow path 10, and an electrode 9 for generating the plasma between the dielectric plates 8. In addition, the oxidation catalyst 17 represented by formula (1) A11-xA2xBO3 is arranged in the gas flow path 10 so as to allow the oxidation catalyst 17 to come into contact with the exhaust gas. In the formula, A1 is at least one element selected from the group consisting of rare earth elements. A2 is at least one element selected from the group consisting of alkali metals. B is at least one element selected from the group consisting of elements which belong to the third to twelfth Groups, the Fourth Period of the Periodic Table. "x" is the atomic proportion of 0
