PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a mold power, capable of maintaining stable lubricating property even at a high casting speed, when continuous casting of molten steel which has a high content of slag reducing metals (such as Al, Ti, rare earth elements or the like) is carried out. SOLUTION : The powder consists of a composition of C of 0.5-4.0 mass%, CaO of 10-40 mass%, Al2 O3 mass%, Li2 O of 3-20 mass%, BaO of 5-40 mass%, fluorine compound of 15 mass% or less in fluorine conversion and the remaining part composed of unavoidable impurities.
