The rotor has polar wheels with a series of polar clamps (14a, 14b) extended along an axial sectional direction in a plane perpendicular to a trapezoidal axis. A magnetic assembly (40) is arranged in an inter-polar gap. The assembly has a magnet (41) made of rare earth material or ferrite material, and a magnetic element e.g. thin radial strip, made of steel. A projection (42) of the assembly is radially extended in the gap beyond a groove towards an external radial end of the rotor without exceeding radial level of external faces (47a, 47b) of the clamps.
