PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a rare earth element doped-fiber with BF3 added therein, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION : This method of manufacturing this rare earth element doped-fiber includes : a deposition process of forming a glass particulate layer by depositing one or more layers of glass particulates on the inner surface of a pipe; an immersion process of impregnating the glass particulate layer with a solution containing a rare-earth element; a drying process of drying the glass particulate layer after the immersion process; a transparency process of converting the glass particulate layer to transparent glass after the drying process; and a collapsing process of collapsing an anhydrous quartz pipe; deposited at 1, 200-1, 500°C, and another deposition process of forming a glass particulate layer with BF3 doped therein is executed at 1, 000-1, 190°C after the deposition process.COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
