PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an RTMB-based rare earth permanent magnet having superior corrosion resistance, low dusting properties, environmental conformity and adhesive property, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION : In the manufacturing method of an RTMB system rare-earth permanent magnet, a metal film selected from among Fe, Co, Ni, Sn and Cu is formed on the front surface of a rare earth sintered magnet, represented by RTMB by using plating method. After that, this magnet is dipped in an aqueous solution, containing a metal selected from among Co, Ni, Sn and Cu, and also containing a compound selected from among sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid, citric acid, phosphoric acid, pyrophosphoric acid, sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate, sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate, sodium acetate, potassium acetate, potassium oxalate, sodium oxalate, sodium citrate, potassium citrate, sodium phosphate, potassium phosphate, sodium pyrophosphate and potassium pyrophosphate. This permanent magnet provides high corrosion resistance, low dusting properties, environmental friendliness and adhesive properties to the rare-earth permanent magnet. COPYRIGHT : (C)2006, JPO&NCIPI
