PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for biochemically cleaning polluted soil, whereby the polluted soil can be economically and efficiently restored on site. SOLUTION : A square water cut-off wall 3 is provided in the ground in a manner surrounding the polluted soil 1. In the polluted area 2 surrounded by the wall 3, the nonpolluted soil situated in the surface of earth is previously removed and is temporarily kept. While nutrients necessary for the area 2 are added thereto, the polluted soil 1 and underground water are agitated by means of an agitator to form a slurry and to fully aerate the soil 1 by inserting an aerating pipe thereinto.
