PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an oxide superconductive bulk body which has high strength and has preferable heat dissipation property. SOLUTION : The method of manufacturing the oxide superconductive bulk body 3 having a composition of RE1Ba2Cu3O7-X (RE presents one or more kinds of rare earth elements (La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) including Y) comprises : a process of compacting starting material powder of elements which constitute the oxide superconductive bulk material 3 by pressure forming to obtain a precursor 1 primarily containing noble metal which does not melt at a heating temperature accompanied by a melt solidification method in starting material mixed powder, being compacted while being mixed with a plurality of short-size linear reinforcing bodies 4 having a diameter of 0.1 to 1.0 mm and a length of 1 to 20 mm, and having a target shape; and a later process of applying the melt solidification method to the precursor 1 to develop crystal growth.
