PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a side wall rubber composition for a tire retaining a good durability, realizing low hysteresis loss and efficiently reducing rolling resistance when used for a side wall part of a tire which is to be used under severe conditions. SOLUTION : In the side wall rubber composition for tire, a butadiene polymer is obtained by polymerization of a monomer containing at least 1, 3-butadiene in the presence of a component (A) : a material containing a rare earth element with an atomic number of 57-71 of the periodic table, or a catalyst system including a reaction product of such a compound with a Lewis base. The composition comprises a rubber component containing a modified butadiene polymer obtained by modifying the butadiene polymer, compounded with a carbon black. COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
