PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a phosphor which has broad peaks in a range of yellow to red (580 to 680 nm), has good excitation bands on long wavelength side from near UV/UV light to visible light (250 to 550 nm) of excitation light, and has improved light emission intensity.
SOLUTION : This phosphor is represented by a composition formula : MmAaBbOoNn : Z, wherein element M is one or more divalent elements; element A is one or more trivalent elements of Al, Ga, In, Tl, Y, Sc, P, As, Sb and Bi; element B is one or more tetravalent elements; O is oxygen; N is nitrogen; element Z is one or more elements selected from rare earth elements or transition metal elements; m>0; a>0; b>0; n=2/3m+a+4/3b-2/3o, o≥0, and further contains boron and/or fluorine.
