PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a super-magnetostrictive material which has super-magnetostriction, and suppresses its destruction caused by internal stress. SOLUTION : The super-magnetostrictive material contains a rare earth element (RE) and an iron element (Fe), and has sheet-shaped dendrite regions α composed of REFe2 and a region β of an iron-rich phase located between the regions α and composed of REFe2+x (wherein X is 0.01 to 6.5).
