PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a phosphor having an emission color finely adjusted without impairment to its good characteristics and to provide a white semiconductor emitter. SOLUTION : The phosphor is characterized in that fine particles of a compound of erbium (Er) as a rare earth element are adhered to the phosphor. The adhesion of the erbium (Er) compound makes the fine adjustment of a fluorescent color without impairment to the fluorescence intensity, temperature characteristics, etc., of the phosphor.
