PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnet having energy product higher than that of the conventional one, i.e., ((BH)max>=44.0MGOe, moreover >=45.0MGOe) in a ring magnet obtained by forming the powder of a rapidly cooled thin strip of an Nd-Fe-B system magnet alloy by hot plastic working to exhibit radial anisotropy and the one having energy product higher than that of the conventional one, i.e., ((BH)max>=42.0MGOe, moreover >=43.0MGOe) and furthermore having high coervice force (iHc>=13.0kOe, moreover 14.0kOe). SOLUTION : The Nd-Fe-B system magnet showing high energy product is obtained by subjecting a magnet alloy composed of a componential system of R-Ce-Fe-Co-B (where R denotes one or more kinds among rare earth elements other than Ce) and having an alloy composition containing, by weight, <=1.0% Ce, 28.0 to 30.0% R+Ce, <=6.0% Co an 0.84 to 0.96% B, and the balance substantial Fe to hot plastic working. In the Nd-Fe-B system magnet showing high coercive force as well as high energy product, an alloy composition in which Ga and/or Zn of 0.2% or less is added thereto is used.
