PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To improve corrosion resistance and to reduce the generation of ammonia odor without requiring much trouble nor cost. SOLUTION : A heat treatment of rare earth magnetic powder is carried out in a range of temperatures of 150 to 300°C for ≥[0.5×(20/X)] hours in an atmosphere containing X% oxygen to form an oxide film on a surface of the magnetic powder.
