PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a motor rotor facilitated in manufacturing, even when rare-earth magnets are to be housed in a cover protector.
SOLUTION : The motor rotor 55 having a plurality of the neodymium magnets 58 includes the cover protector 59, which wholly covers peripheries of the plurality of neodymium magnets 58, airtightly seals the neodymium magnets 58 therein, and is formed into a cylindrical shape at its contour. The cover protector 59 includes a cylindrical protector body 61, which contains the plurality of neodymium magnets 58 so that end faces of the neodymium magnets 58 in the rotor shaft direction are exposed, and the plurality of neodymium magnets 58 are arranged annularly the same circumference around a rotor shaft, and an end face cover 62 which covers the end faces of the plurality of neodymium magnets 58 at the end of the protector body 61 in the rotor shaft direction. The end-face cover 62 and the protector body 61 are welded to each other, and constitute the airtight cover protector 59. The welding of the end-face cover 62 and the protector body 61 is performed on the external-side face of the cover protector 59 in the rotor shaft direction.
