In fixing a glass layer (3) on a glass member (4), the irradiation with a laser beam (L1) is conducted from an irradiation initiation position (A) present in a scheduled region (R) for fusion bonding along the scheduled region (R) for fusion bonding up to the irradiation initiation position (A), and thereafter, the irradiation with the laser beam (L1) is continued from the irradiation initiation position (A) present in the scheduled region (R) for fusion bonding along an unstable region up to a stable region initiation position (B), whereby the glass layer (3) in the unstable region is re-fused and the unstable region is converted into a stable region.  Thus, the glass layer (3) is fixed on the glass member (4).  Then, a glass member (5) is fusion-bonded to the resulting glass member (4) with a laser beam (L2) via the glass layer (3) wherein the entirety of the scheduled region (R) for fusion bonding has been converted into a stable region.  Thus, a fusion-bonded glass structure (1) is obtained.
