PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric porcelain which has high permittivity, a low dielectric loss, and a change in relative permittivity by temperature satisfying the X7R properties of ELA Standards, and provides high insulation resistance even when low voltage is applied, and to provide a multilayer ceramic capacitor provided with the dielectric porcelain as a dielectric layer and having excellent service life properties in a high temperature load test.
SOLUTION : The dielectric porcelain contains barium titanate as a main component and contains prescribed amounts of vanadium, magnesium, manganese and rare earth elements, wherein the diffraction intensity of the (004) plane showing the barium titanate in a tetragonal system is higher than the diffraction intensity of the (004) plane showing the barium titanate in a cubic system, and the average particle diameter of crystal particles is 0.21 to 0.28 μm.
