PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a deodorizing device for deodorizing and eliminating bacteria by using ultraviolet rays capable of preventing a harmful effect on a peripheral member such as deformation of a resin member by the ultraviolet rays. ŽSOLUTION : This deodorizing device is structured of an ultraviolet ray lamp 160 of an approximately cylinder shape with discharge medium containing rare gas and mercury sealed, a cylindrical light shielding body 170 for surrounding the ultraviolet ray lamp 160, an air passage 151 formed between the ultraviolet ray lamp 160 and the light shielding body 170, and opening parts 180, 190 formed on a body part 171 of the light shielding body for flowing air in and out.
