PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide the use in a cosmetic composition of an extract of an exsudate of the plant Daniellia oliveri, or to provide a production method of the cosmetic composition. SOLUTION : When the extract of an exsudate of the plant Daniellia oliveri is used as a cosmetic composition, it can modify the surface of the skin by giving it a smoother appearance through a reduction in the depth of the wrinkles and/or fine lines and/or by providing it with a re-plumping effect. The exsudate is at least partially made up of the oleoresin of the plant. In addition, a cosmetic care method for modifying the surface of the skin by giving it a smoother appearance through a reduction in the depth of the wrinkles and fine lines and/or by providing it with a re-plumping effect, comprises the application, to the areas of the skin in question, of a cosmetic composition containing this extract.
