PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a pneumatic radial tire excellent in high speed durability, fatigue-resistance and vehicle handling stability using a steel cord as a cord of a belt reinforcement layer. SOLUTION : In the tire T, the belt reinforcement layer 8 comprising the steel cord substantially extending in a tire circumferential direction in parallel is provided on an outer peripheral side of the belt layer 6. The steel cord constituting the belt reinforcement layer comprises a plurality of twisted original wires comprising carbon steel having an original wire diameter of 0.07-0.14 mm and a carbon content of 0.60-0.85 wt.%, having tensile strength of the respective original wires of 2, 800-3, 740 N/mm2 in the twisted state and having load at 1% elongation of the cord of 50 N or higher is used. The rare tire having the belt reinforcement layer is vulcanization-molded by pressing a division mold without being substantially enlarged at vulcanization. COPYRIGHT : (C)2010, JPO&INPIT
