PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an oxide superconductor in which reduction of a critical current density corresponding to film thickness can be suppressed and a high critical current can be achieved, since increase of film thickness is formed by lamination of a thin film with excellent characteristics.
SOLUTION : The oxide superconductive wire rod has in lamination a base material 10 and an oxide superconductor layer 30 consisting of a rare earth based oxide superconductor laminated on a substrate 50 which includes an intermediate layer 20 laminated on the base material 10. The oxide superconductor layer 30 is constructed of a rare earth oxide superconductor having a high decomposition temperature on the side close to the substrate 50, and the rare earth oxide superconductor has a low decomposition temperature on the side far from the substrate 50.
