FIELD : construction. SUBSTANCE : mixture of aluminium oxide - zirconium oxide melt grains has the following chemical composition, in wt %, which totals to 100% : 40-45.5 ZrO+HfO2; 46-58 Al2O3; 0-10 additives; <0.8 SiO2 and <1.2 admixtures. Additive is selected from group that includes oxides of titanium, magnesium, calcium and/or compound of rare-earth elements family. Specified mixture is characterised by the fact that portion of grains containing admixtures makes less than 2%, and concentration of nodules (defects of metal or carbide type, size of which does not exceed 10 mcm), measured at cut of any gain in mix, makes more than 500 nodules by mm2 at least in 50% cases.
