PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a manufacturing method of a rare-earth magnet having high coercive field, wherein grain boundary modification processing is performed in short working hours even in mass production, and an amount of M metal compound spent in the grain boundary modification processing is reduced to suppress costs.
SOLUTION : In the manufacturing method of the rare-earth magnet formed by diffusing and penetrating an M metal element (provided that M is Pr, Dy, Tb or Ho) into a grain boundary phase of the rare-earth magnet; slurries containing one or more kinds of compounds selected from fluoride, oxide, and chloride of the M metal element and a reducing agent are stored in a predetermined container, and the rare-earth magnet is taken out from the predetermined container after immersing the rare-earth magnet in the slurries, and then heating treatment is applied.
