PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for manufacturing magnet alloy powder for a bond magnet, which has a high coercive force with stability and excellent weather resistance.SOLUTION : Provided is a method for manufacturing magnet alloy powder for a bond magnet. The method is arranged to obtain magnet alloy powder for a bond magnet by pulverizing rare earth element-containing iron-based magnet alloy powder in an organic solvent. The method comprises : a finely pulverizing process; and a heating/drying process. The finely pulverizing process includes the steps of : previously preparing a chromium-containing phosphoric acid solution by adding to 5-30 wt% of metal chromium powder to a phosphoric acid solution and then removing metal chromium powder remaining as a result; and pulverizing the rare earth element-containing iron-based magnet alloy powder in the organic solvent, in which the chromium-containing phosphoric acid solution is added to the organic solvent to form a protective coating on the surface of the rare earth element-containing iron-based magnet alloy powder. The heating/drying process includes the steps of : performing a solid-liquid separation on a slurry including the rare earth element-containing iron-based magnet alloy powder, which is obtained in the finely pulverizing process; and heating and drying the resultant rare earth element-containing iron-based magnet alloy powder.SELECTED DRAWING : None
