PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fiber laser device having a low optical loss and an improved peak pulse laser output, and to provide a laser beam machining method employing it and an electronic device. SOLUTION : A fiber laser device comprises a first fiber grating, a second fiber grating having a variable reflection factor, an optical fiber producing an amplification gain band when a rare earth element is excited by pumping light, and a first long period fiber grating inserted between the optical fiber and the second fiber grating, wherein the first fiber grating reflects a portion of light having a first wavelength, the first long period fiber grating transmits the light having a first wavelength, and emits the pulse laser light via the first fiber grating under a state where the reflection factor of the second fiber grating is set high, otherwise it does not emit the pulse laser light outside.
